  • The region experiences high humidity, frequent precipitation, and rapid weather changes throughout the year.
  • Extreme conditions are possible, with winter frosts near ?30 °C and occasional summer heat up to about 35 °C.
  • White nights (very long daylight) occur from mid-May to late July, though true polar day/night is not observed.
